Shakespeare's Globe Theatre
IS WINTER COMING? Remember, if you like Game of Thrones, you'll like Shakespeare:
Shakespeare's shadow on Game of Thrones
Quiz: Game of Thrones or a Shakespeare play?
Something to include in your bucket list: see a play by Shakespeare at the Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London. We all know it's not the original one but it stands where the real one stood and it has the same shape. Since it has no roof, te theatre season is mostly summer but sometimes they go on a world tour and if you are lucky, they might visit your country. We are lucky! They'll be performing Hamlet in Madrid (Teatros del Canal) on April 22, 23 and 24 2015. Goes without saying, it's really worth seeing, of course !!
Hamlet is one of the most famous plays by William Shakespeare. We all know the famous sentences "to be or not to be..." or "something is rotten in the state of Denmark" but few can claim that they have read the play IN ENGLISH, of course.
Well, if you are thinking about seeing the play in April or just want to have a go at reading it, here you have a couple of links with the online version of the play and a recommended printed version with notes:
